In this presentation I will give an overview of useful applications of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) in the challenging environment of prehospital acute medical care. I will discuss the utility of POCUS, but also its shortcomings.
Rein Ketelaars is a staff anesthesiologist at the Radboud university medical center in Nijmegen, the Netherlands and HEMS physician at the Lifeliner 3 HEMS. In 2019 he successfully defended his thesis on “Ultrasonography in Prehospital and Emergency Medicine”
